Public Relations IAIN Parepare— The State Islamic Institute of Parepare is once again holding a selection for Extraordinary Lecturers (LB) for the current semester. This event takes place on the 3rd floor of the Rectorate Building (Flyover), Tuesday (05-08-2025), attended by 13 participants from various fields of science. The selection is coordinated by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development (APK), Dr. H. Saepudin, M.Pd., along with the Human Resources Team.
Dr. Saepudin explained that IAIN Parepare applies two models for recruiting Extraordinary Lecturers based on (1) needs, namely mapping courses without instructors before opening public vacancies, (2) incoming applications, where the campus filters applicants who have previously applied.
“This selection uses the second model. However, it is still adjusted to the needs of the study program,” he said.
The selection process is conducted strictly through four stages:
1. Job analysis by the human resources team to match the qualifications of applicants with the needs of the study program.
2. Academic interviews by the Vice Deans I, assessing the scientific understanding, integrity, and commitment of the applicants.
3.Microteachingto test pedagogical skills and material delivery.
4. administrative, including document completeness and availability of credits, with priority given to applicants who have NIDN or NUPTK.
“Microteachingimportant to directly observe the teaching style and mastery of the material of the prospective lecturer,” he added.
